Illinois Snow Storm

"We got rain that turned to snow on Wednesday. There was ice on everything. There was wind gusts, which snapped and twisted, even the largest trees. Everything was a mess and the weather was too nasty for a couple of days to do anything about it. We have a stove, and heat and things to cook. The tree we planted out front, which came in the wagon from Ohio will probably not survive the storm. No one can recall a blizzard like that before. We hope to never seen one like it ever again. It was hard on the livestock to go without food and water for so long. Several were lost through the days of the storm..."

Yet, there is a certain beauty in natures behavior…
